Kane celebrates his 100th goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his interest in coming back to the Premier League has faded and he is open to negotiate a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently halfway through the four-year agreement he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The 32-year-old forward has netted an outstanding 103 goals in 106 matches for the German side, contributing them claim the 2024-25 Bundesliga championship - which was the maiden major honor of his notable career.
Tottenham boss Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would welcome to see Kane come back to England, where he requires 48 goals to overtake Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England captain has now suggested that he is no longer as keen about going back home as he previously was, and would certainly consider prolonging his stay in Bavaria.
"In terms of staying longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I discussed openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those talks with Bayern yet, but if they were to arise I would be prepared to talk and have an frank conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we attain together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have learned in my career is that different chances and different moments happen and things align. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am fully all in with Bayern."
Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the record top marksman for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the speediest player this century to achieve 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, reaching the achievement in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a title had avoided him until he won the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would feel after ending his trophy wait, but now thinks it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he added.
"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I driven myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
