I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
